Early morning crash sends man to Memphis hospital

PEMISCOT COUNTY, MO (KAIT) -

A Region 8 man was seriously injured early Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash.

The crash happened at 1 a.m. on Route K near Route P in Pemiscot County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

David A. Palmer, 48, of Hayti was westbound when his 1999 Ford Ranger crossed the center line and ran off the road. The pickup truck then struck a culvert before overturning.

Palmer, who was not wearing a seat belt was seriously injured. He was flown to the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis.
