WASHINGTON - More than fifty members of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce are in Washington, DC this week, as part of the organization's annual "DC Fly-In" effort to lobby members of Congress for "high priority" projects in the area.

The delegation left Jonesboro on Saturday and will return on Wednesday.

Monday morning, the delegation hosted a breakfast honoring U.S. Senator Mark Pryor (D) of Arkansas at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in nearby Arlington, Virginia.  An effort to expand the Jonesboro Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) to include Greene County was among the items discussed with Pryor this morning.

The delegation is also scheduled to meet with Senator Blanche Lincoln (D) and First District Congressman Marion Berry (D) while in The Beltway.
