HARRISBURG, AR (KAIT) - After weeks of renovations, the Poinsett County Courtroom is complete.
Judge Bob Cantrell said in 2011 a new roof was put on the Poinsett County Courthouse in Harrisburg.
He said after that construction was complete, officials realized there was no seal around the clock tower.
This caused water to leak through the roof into the courtroom.
Cantrell said when he took office last year he realized it was time to repair the damage to the courtroom.
It took 7 weeks and $18,000 out of the general fund to repair it, but Cantrell said the roof is fixed so they shouldn't have this problem again.
