TOLEDO, OH (KAIT) - Toledo's powerful runningback Kareem Hunt missed practice again on Wednesday and is still questionable after injuring his hamstring against Iowa State this past Saturday.
According to various media tweeting from Toledo practice, Hunt did some work on the side but Rockets Head Coach Matt Campbell said he was still listed as questionable against Arkansas State.
Hunt hurt Arkansas State in January's GoDaddy Bowl with 271 yards and 5 touchdowns. Despite the strength of Hunt, A-State has even more to worry about from the Rockets. "I think they have more than just him," said Arkansas State Defensive Coordinator Joe Cauthen. Toledo also brings Damion Jones-Moore, a different type of back than Hunt. "He's a lot more shiftier," said Cauthen.
If Toledo doesn't have Hunt on Saturday, they'll lose a player who has provided 129 yards in two games this season.
Region 8 Sports will continue to track Hunt's progress ahead of the game against Arkansas State and keep you updated.
