JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Ironhorse Barbecue and Steakhouse Company, 2108 Linwood Dr., of Paragould can serve up wine and beer with its ribs and pork steaks.

On Sept. 16, the director of the Department of Finance Administration’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Division approved the business for a new Restaurant Beer & Wine permit.

According to notes from the ABC website, there were no objections from Greene County or Paragould public officials.

The Newport chief of police and the Jackson County sheriff also did not object to a new Beer on Premises permit for Karrie E’s Bar, 205 Beech St. in Newport.

However, its permit is conditional upon removal of gaming machines found on the premises.

Karrie E’s must also receive approval from the Arkansas Department of Health and install a telephone, then be re-inspected by ABC Enforcement.

In related news, as of Sept. 21, ABC has approved 46 private club permits for Craighead County. To see the complete permit report for the state, click here.
