One of downtown Jonesboro's biggest events of the year will be in full swing Saturday.
Saturday marks the 7th Annual Downtown Jonesboro BBQ Fest.
Main Street Jonesboro closes down Friday night at midnight in preps for all the vendors that will fill the street tomorrow.
Union Street is already closed as bar-be-que'rs from all over get ready for Saturday's competition.
Event organizer, Jack Turner said no matter if you're 5 or 85, you'll find something to keep you entertained this weekend in downtown Jonesboro.
"Just like every year we've got food vendors, we've got stuff for the kids to do down here, it's a big family friendly event... and then obviously the big KCBS Sanctioned BBQ contest," Turner said.
With nearly 40 teams in the competition and 28 vendors signed up, Turner said there's something for everyone.
"You name it, it's down here. We've got lots of stuff for the kids to do down here on the other end. The kids play area will be at the north end of Main Street but we've got inflatables, we've got one of those flight-simulator, gyroscopic kind of things, sno-cones, you name it."
The best thing? It's completely free to get in.
Everything culminates Saturday night when the Commodores hit the stage at 8 o'clock.
