JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Teachers at the Nettleton School District were surprised Friday with some grant money.
The Surprise Patrol brought teachers the good news in their classrooms.
Each year the Nettleton Foundation awards teachers with grant money to use in their classes.
This year, 42 teachers learned they are getting grant money.
Doug Doggett, a member of the Surprise Patrol, said this makes an impact on the students too.
"Even kids who have gone on to graduate over the last 13 years have come to use and said that they remember that project they did with their science teacher or english teacher," Doggett said. "It's something fun that was different from anything they would find in a classroom or in the books."
The foundation awarded over $11,000 in grants.
