Highland student hit by two cars, airlifted to Memphis

HIGHLAND, AR (KAIT) - A Highland football player is in critical condition after being hit by a car Monday night.

It happened around 5:15 p.m.

According to Highland Police Chief Shane Russell, the boy was walking across the highway from the Red Mule Mart to the school when he was hit by two vehicles.

The boy was airlifted to Le Bonheur's Children Hospital in Memphis and is in critical condition, according to Chief Russell.

The name and age of the student has not been released.
