POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KAIT) -

Police in Poplar Bluff arrested a man on arson, terroristic threatening, and stalking charges.

On Sept. 28, Poplar Bluff police and fire departments responded to two separate fires in the 1500-block of South Tenth Street and the 900-block of Peach Street, according to a news release from the police department.

Investigators concluded someone intentionally set both fires.

The following day officers were dispatched to the Eagles Lodge, located in the 1400-block of South Broadway, in reference to a bomb threat.

Lodge employees told police a man called, claiming he had placed explosive devices inside the building and threatened to detonate them.

A short time later, following their investigation, police arrested Wade Stoutt, 50, of Poplar Bluff on suspicion of second-degree arson, making a terroristic threat, and aggravated stalking. He is being held at the Butler County Jail.
