JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - They got away with over $1,500 before the clerk caught on. Now a gang of check forgers is on the run and Jonesboro police are searching for them.
They used forged payroll checks at the Citgo station on Caraway. Ironically, a block from the police department.
As many as seven were listed in the police report.
In one portion of the video, three men at the counter were trying to cash payroll checks from a temp agency called Flash Staffing.
The three checks cashed were worth over $1,700 and made out to a Juan Hernandez, Richard Aguilar and Francisco Lopez.
Odds are long of getting an ID on these men, but if you run a business that cashes checks be on the lookout.
It cost that Citgo station big time before they put a stop to it.
The suspects are still out there.
If you can make an ID or have a tip that can help solve this case, call it in to Crimestoppers at 935-STOP.
