BATESVILLE, AR (KAIT) -

A Batesville man arrested for indecent exposure now faces four counts of raping a child.

An Independence County judge found probable cause Monday to charge Joshua Woodrow Williams, 33, with four counts of rape, a Class Y felony.

On Sept. 24, a woman reported to the sheriff’s office that she had seen Williams “pleasuring himself” in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery off Valley Lane, according to court documents.

The woman told investigators she had seen Williams “on several occasions” performing the sex act as she was walking home from dropping off her children at a nearby school bus stop.

The following day, during questioning, investigators say Williams admitted to masturbating in the cemetery.

Investigators say he also admitted to raping a young boy on at least four occasions, including two times in the dugout of a local baseball park and once at a local rock quarry.

Detectives interviewed the child who corroborated Williams’ admission, the probable cause affidavit stated.
