BAXTER COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A rural Mountain Home man was arrested last week after police found a large amount of drugs and paraphernalia while searching his home.
According to a press release from the Baxter County Sheriff's Department, officers from four agencies served a search warrant on Jonathan Wesley Harig's home on Fletcher Street on Sept. 24.
During the search, officers found about 19 grams of methamphetamine, 3 grams of marijuana, several pills identified as Xanax and Carisoprodol and various drug paraphernalia.
He was arrested and taken to the Baxter County Detention Center.
Since the house was within 1,000 feet of a church, the penalty was enhanced.
Harig was charged with felonies for possession of meth with purpose of delivery and two counts of drug paraphernalia.
He was also charged with misdemeanors for possession of schedule five and six controlled substances.
Harig was released after posting a $25,000 bond.
He is expected in circuit court Thursday.
Arkansas State Police, the 14th Judicial Drug Task Force and the Mountain Home Police Department assisted the sheriff's department in the arrest.
