Jonesboro police investigating shots fired at man

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police are investigating after shots were reportedly fired at a man Thursday morning.

According to the incident report, Officer Blake Bristow was standing outside Murdock's Catfish when he heard two gunshots nearby.

He thought they came from the area of Race St. and Red Wolf Blvd., so he went to check out the area.

While driving on Race St., he saw two people standing outside of a vehicle and pointing at him.

One of those was a man who said he called 911 to report being shot at.

The man told officers he was at McDonald's to get lunch when a bald, black man in a black Nissan Altima yelled something at him that he couldn't understand.

He claimed that when he was leaving the restaurant the Nissan tried to back into him and later followed him out of the parking lot.

The man said he heard two shots being fired at him at the intersection of Fairview Dr. and Brazos St.

Officers found two .45 shell casings at that intersection.

They also found a hole in a chair that was sitting in front of an apartment on Fairview Dr.

Nobody was injured in the shooting and no arrests have been made.
