Poplar Bluff woman hit by motorcycle airlifted to hospital

BUTLER COUNTY, MO (KAIT) - A Region 8 woman was airlifted to a southeast Missouri hospital Thursday night after she was hit by a motorcycle.

According to a crash report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Benjamin Bowie, 34, was driving on Route N at around 8:35 p.m.

When Bowie got about half a mile west of Qulin, his Harley Davidson struck Jessica D. Evans, 25, who was walking on the road.

Both Bowie and Evans are from Poplar Bluff.

An ambulance took Bowie to the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.

Evans was airlifted to the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau with serious injuries.
