WYNNE, AR (KAIT) -

The Wynne Police Department this week charged a local man in the shooting of a home and a vehicle.

According to an incident report, John Paul Richardson Jr., 20, of Wynne was charged with attempted manslaughter, aggravated assault and committing a terroristic act. Police said he pulled a gun on another man and shot multiple times on Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Officer Christopher Getchell stated in his narrative he met with 2 victims on the 300 block of West Davis Street Wednesday night. The man and woman told Getchell that Richardson fired several shots at both of them; however, neither victim was hurt.

“The victim’s car was struck by 3 gunshots,” the report stated.

Getchell also stated officers discovered at least 3 gunshots in a house. Upon investigation, detectives found 16 9mm cartridge casings near the scene where Richardson was walking.

Detective Mike Smith stated multiple witnesses identified Richardson as the shooter.

Richardson appeared in Cross County District Court. A judge ordered him held on $100,000 bond and will appear in circuit court Nov. 18.
