Woman accused of opening fire on ex-boyfriend

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police arrested a woman on assault charges Sunday after they say she opened fire on her ex-boyfriend.

Samantha Plymale, 32, is charged with aggravated assault and criminal use of a prohibited weapon/brass knuckles.

The victim told police he and Plymale had "gone out a few times" but that he had broken up with her "sometime back."

He said that Saturday night he started getting text messages from her; including one that said she was "putting the witches of the North on him for doing her wrong."

Just before 1 a.m. Sunday, while he was standing outside speaking with a friend in the 3600-block of Race Street, he said Plymale pulled up and started arguing with him.

She then pointed a "blue handgun" at them and fired two shots at the men before driving off, the report stated.

An hour later the investigating officer stopped Plymale's vehicle near the intersection of Main and Johnson.

After positively identifying her as the suspect in the shooting, the officer took Plymale into custody and searched her car.

During the search, the officer reported finding a spent .380 shell casing in the driver's side floorboard and a pair of brass knuckles in the glove box. Inside the trunk, hidden in a shoe box, the officer reported finding a blue Cobra .380 handgun.

The officer arrested Plymale and took her to the Craighead County Detention Center to await a probable cause hearing.

He also arrested Lorente Noble, a passenger in Plymale's car, on three outstanding warrants. Noble was left at the CCDC in lieu of a $205 cash-only bond.
