JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - An explosive special delivery in one Jonesboro neighborhood has police investigating.
It happened around 8 p.m. Monday on Easley Lane, just off East Highland Drive.
According to a Jonesboro Police Department incident report, Laurie Hatcher told officers she was lying in bed when she heard an explosion outside of her window.
"It was dark, a little bit before 8,"Hatcher said. "I heard a vehicle take off and then heard a loud boom and could see sparks flying out my bedroom window."
According to the report, Hatcher said a homemade bomb caused the explosion.
Officers on the scene said they found a plastic soda bottle laying on the road.
Police took photos of the damage.
So far, officers have not arrested anyone.
Hatcher believed the people responsible were kids with nothing better to do.
