JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police are searching for the person who shot up a home in north Jonesboro while children were inside.
Late Monday night officers responded to a call of shots fired at a home on East Allen Avenue.
The victim told police she believed her ex-boyfriend fired several shots into her house.
She claimed he threatened her, drove by in a blue Buick and fired a gun in the air.
According to an incident report, the woman said it happened more than once.
The woman said during one of the incidents, someone fired shots into her home.
The investigating officers said they found shell casings in the yard and on the home.
While searching for shell casings, the woman brought the officers a .45 caliber slug she said she found in front of her couch.
Police said they found a bullet casing lying on the ground next to a chair, which was damaged.
In all, the officers found 6 bullet holes in the home and 7 shell casings, according to the report.
No one was injured.
The woman told police several small children were inside the home when the shooting happened.
Police found the woman's ex-boyfriend, who is also on probation.
The man told police he wasn't responsible for the shooting and claimed the woman had issues with other people. He said one of them was likely responsible.
After searching him, officers said they did not find a gun on him. Officers did not arrest him.
