MELBOURNE, AR (KAIT) - A Montana teenager is facing adult charges after a high speed chase earlier this month.
Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence said the 17-year-old from Billings was part of a pursuit on Oct. 2. The chase ended with several vehicles being damaged or destroyed at a Melbourne car dealership.
The teen was driving a Ford Escape reported stolen from Montana, according to the sheriff.
The teen, who has yet to be named, is charged as an adult on felonies that include fleeing in a vehicle, criminal mischief second degree and theft by receiving.
He remains in the White River Juvenile Detention Center in Batesville.
Lawrence said the teen is facing "similar charges in another state due to a like incident."
