JPD: Couple robbed at gunpoint for phone

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police say a man and his girlfriend were robbed at gunpoint on Race Street late Sunday night.

According to the police report, the couple was standing in a driveway in the 3000-block of Race Street when two black males asked them if they knew where they could get some weed.

The couple told the males they did not and the suspects walked away.

The victims then told police, the two returned pointing a gray semi-automatic handgun in the man's face, demanding them to empty their pockets.

The couple only had their cell phone on them at the time and the suspects ran off in different directions.

The suspects are described as being black males, standing 5'10", wearing dark hoodies, jeans, and white sneakers.
