5 people sent to hospital after Jonesboro crash

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A crash in Jonesboro sent several people to the hospital Wednesday afternoon.

First responders went to a crash on Red Wolf Blvd. in front on Captain D's.

According to Jonesboro police, a black Mercury Mountaineer was headed northbound in the turn lane and attempted to turn left in Captain D's driveway. The SUV pulled into the path of a southbound red Dodge Caliber.

Witnesses told officers the SUV flipped and landed in a ditch.

Three people in the SUV along with a mother and child in the car were taken to a local hospital. Their conditions are unknown.

Crews were also called to an unrelated crash on Highway 226 near Cash and may involve three vehicles.
