Four arrested, charged following fights in Blytheville

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Blytheville police were busy Wednesday night after being called to the same area several times for ongoing fights. The incidents led to multiple arrests.

Captain Scott Adams, Blytheville Police Department Criminal Investigation Division Commander, said in a news release officers responded to calls about fighting primarily in the 400- and 500-blocks of E. Cherry Street.

Adams said officers went to the area 5 times from 6 p.m. to about 9:45 p.m.

During the last call officers reported hearing about 20 gunshots from the same area. When they arrived, officers found several people fighting and throwing objects at each other.

Officers tried to break up the fights and disperse the crowd with "chemical agents," Adams said.

Four people were arrested as officers tried to break up the fighting.

Adams said the suspects refused to comply with officer commands and 3 of them were Tased.

Those arrested are Tiffany Rogers, 19, Priscilla Goss, 35, Walter Goss, 46, and Tyrone Dority, 21.

Rogers, Goss and Goss are charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, rioting and unlawful assembly.

Dority is charged with loitering, rioting and unlawful assembly.

Police also reported seeing a juvenile punch another person from behind. Officers tried to arrested the suspect, but they were able to get away. The juvenile was identified and police are seeking warrants.

Adams said no officers were injured in the fighting.
