State Democrats to Tour Region 8 Saturday

JONESBORO, AR - Arkansas House Speaker Bill Stovall, House Majority Leader Jay Martin and state legislators from the First Congressional District will participate in a community tour and town hall meeting Saturday to promote the House Democratic Caucus' L.E.A.D. Arkansas legislative agenda.

The tour will feature stops in Batesville, Blytheville, Jonesboro and West Memphis.  The L.E.A.D. Arkansas package stands for the following principles, according to a news release from the Arkansas Democratic Party...

L: Lower Health Care Costs

E: Early Childhood Education

A: Accountability and Efficiency in Government

D: Decrease Crime and Recidivism Rates

The tour will stop in Batesville at 10 a.m. at the City Hall, Jonesboro at 1 p.m. at the Southwind Heights Retirement Facility, Blytheville at 3:15 at the Area Chamber of Commerce Headquarters, and West Memphis at 5 p.m. at the Ecumenical Village Community Center.
