NEA Baptist 2nd annual Women's Day

CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Women were the stars at the NEA Baptist Women's Day celebration Tuesday morning.

The hospital hosted the event to not only promote breast cancer awareness but to bring awareness to other illnesses that women can face.

There were various free health screenings including blood pressure, flu shots and free 3D mammogram vouchers given to qualifying women.

But it wasn’t all about health, there were some fun activities in the mix for visitors like a photo booth, beauty and fitness advice and even the chance to get a pink manicure.

Betty Vaughn, a visitor to the event, said she wanted to take advantage of all that was being offered.

My husband has cancer and it's like, I know I have to take care of myself,” Vaughn said. “These mothers with small children need to take time and do things like this because the children depend on them.

This is the second year NEA Baptist has hosted the free event.
