Stolen truck found torched in Black Rock

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

Lawrence County sheriff's deputies arrested two people in connection with a stolen truck in Jonesboro.

According to the police report, Amanda Blackburn left a court ordered drug treatment facility on Oct. 15. A little while later a white 2005 Chevrolet truck was reported stolen.

Blackburn returned to Lawrence County to pick up Ross Kiker after stealing the truck in Jonesboro, investigators said.

According to the report, Kiker attempted to set the truck on fire to destroy evidence of the theft.

The abandoned truck was recovered near Black Rock by sheriff's deputies the next day.

Blackburn is charged with theft by receiving. She is being held in lieu of $1,500 bond and has been ordered to wear an ankle monitor upon release.

Kiker is charged with 1st degree criminal mischief and criminal trespassing. His bond was set at $10,000.
