WALNUT RIDGE, AR - Amtrack train officials say passengers were delayed about eight hours yesterday on a northbound Texas Eagle trip through the state.  Amtrack spokeswoman Marcie Golgoski said a portion of the Union Pacific track that the train was traveling on was broken about 45 miles south of Walnut Ridge, where Amtrack's Texas Eagle makes a regular stop.

Golgoski said the train reached the broken track at about 7 o'clock in the morning and after eight hours the passengers were bused out.
