Police: Woman sprayed with fire extinguisher answering to trick-or-treater

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Police say a woman answering her door Halloween night to deliver a treat ended up getting tricked.

Jonesboro police responded to the 3300-block of Caraway Commons where a woman claimed she was sprayed with a fire extinguisher.

The woman told police she heard a knock at the door and someone say “trick-or-treat."

When she opened the door, the woman said a boy about 12 years of age sprayed her and the inside of her home with the fire extinguisher.

The officer noted that all of the lower living area seemed to have been exposed to product from the extinguisher.

It is unclear if there is permanent damage inside the apartment.

An apartment nearby also had vandalism, according to the report.

Police did get a suspect’s name from a tenant, but nobody has been cited yet.
