Region 8 man wanted by U.S. Marshals arrested in Greene County

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - A Greene County man wanted by the United States Marshals Service on a no bond warrant was arrested in Paragould Sunday.

According to the incident report, deputies with the Greene County Sheriff's Department went to a home on 6 ½ Street in Paragould in an attempt to locate Kevin Wesley Stuart.

A deputy was given information that Stuart was staying at the residence with a felon.

The deputy noticed a red Ford Ranger truck parked near the home which he had also seen parked at Stuart's mother's house in the past.

The deputy approached the home and said he heard what sounded like someone running inside the residence.

After requests to search the home, deputies with the Greene County Sheriff's Department and an officer with the Paragould Police Department found Stuart hiding in a bedroom closet and also found a bag with .07 grams of methamphetamine inside of it.

Deputies say Stuart admitted the bag of meth belonged to him as he was being taken into custody.

Stuart is in the Greene County Jail on the no bond warrant and has been charged with possession of methamphetamine.
