Pocahontas business offers building for donations

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Two organizations have partnered to help feed the hungry in Randolph County.

The United Way of Northeast Arkansas and EZ Portable Building Solutions are hosting a food drive this week.

For every six items donated, the donator’s name will be entered to win an EZ building.

Food collected will go to the food pantries and backpack programs in the Randolph County School District.

“It's huge everywhere, it's especially huge in Randolph County,” Jenny Keller with United Way said about the need for food donations. “But the thing about Randolph County is there is pantries there and people to support as much food as we're willing to raise and gather for them and that's why this is important. If we get the food, they'll get it to the hands of the people that need it.”

You can drop off donations at EZ Portable Building Solutions in Pocahontas or the United Way office in Jonesboro.

The food drive ends on Saturday and the drawing will take place at the company in Pocahontas.

This event is a corporate-wide initiative from EZ Portable Building Solutions.
