BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - One Region 8 community wants to make sure everybody in the county gets a good, hot meal on Thanksgiving Day.
Plans are already underway for the Sixth Annual Mississippi County Thanksgiving Feed hosted by the Harvest Time Ministry.
The director of the ministry, Aaron Brassfield said the dinner is to be held Thursday, Nov. 26, at the Mississippi County Senior Citizens Center, 1101 David Lane in Blytheville.
The dinner will include sliced ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, chicken and dressing, rolls and dessert. Delivery will be available to those unable to attend.
Last year's dinner served more than 1,400 people, according to Amanda Adams, the director of the senior citizens center. This year, they expect to serve even more people.
"If they don't receive this meal, they won't have a Thanksgiving dinner," Adams said.
Event organizers ask the community to consider donating their time, food or money to help make this year's dinner a success. Adams said every donation counts.
