LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Springdale Har-Ber edged Pine Bluff for the top spot in the Arkansas Associated Press high school football poll heading into the final week of the regular season.
Har-Ber will close the year at Rogers Heritage in a Class 7A-West contest, while Pine Bluff plays at ninth-ranked Benton in a Class 6A-South game.
Each of last week's top 10 teams won last week and held their spots in this week's poll. Cabot is third, Fayetteville is fourth and Pulaski Academy is fifth. Greenwood is sixth, followed by Bentonville, Bryant, Benton and LR Christian.
Pine Bluff, Greenwood and Benton were ranked 1-2-3 on every Class 6A ballot, and are followed by Jonesboro and Searcy.
In Class 5A, Pulaski Academy, Little Rock Christian and Hot Springs Lakeside were 1-2-3 on every ballot. Little Rock McClellan and Hope round out the top five.
Dardanelle leads Class 4A, Smackover leads in Class 3A and Rison is No. 1 in Class 2A.
Another AP poll will be released after the last regular-season games, then again after the state championships in December.
