JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Police are looking for 3 suspects involved in a shooting at an apartment complex in north Jonesboro.

Jonesboro Police Department Public Information Specialist Paul Holmes states officers responded to a "shots fired" call in the 100-block of Daybreak Drive at the Cedar Park Apartments just after midnight Thursday.

When officers arrived they found George Banks, 30, lying on his back "suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the neck." Banks is a resident of the apartment complex.

Officers administered aid and Banks was later transferred to a local hospital for treatment.

Holmes states another resident in the apartment told police she was awakened by the noise, went to the living room and found Banks on the floor with a woman and 2 men standing over him.

The witness said the 3 demanded money from those in the apartment and searched the residence in an effort to find money.

The woman said she and a child were ordered out of the living room. She told police she heard gunshots as the suspects left.

There is no description of the suspects at this time.

Anyone with information about the suspects can call the Jonesboro Police Department at (870) 935-6710 or to Crimestoppers at 935-STOP.
