JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro police arrested one person in connection to a shooting that injured a man in the 100-block of Daybreak Drive at Cedar Park Apartments.

According to Paul Holmes with the Jonesboro Police Department, Kezanna Dixon, 18, of Jonesboro faces charges of first-degree battery and aggravated robbery. Police took Dixon into custody Thursday afternoon.

Officers found George Banks, 30, of Jonesboro lying on his back “suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds to the neck" early Thursday morning.

Banks, who lives at the complex, was admitted to a local hospital.

Police say three people demanded money from Banks in an apartment.

There was also a female and four children inside the apartment at the time of the shooting.

The woman said one of the black men held a gun to her head and demanded money.

When another resident went to see what was happening, they found Banks on the floor with a woman and two men standing over him.

During a mirandized interview, Dixon said she went to the apartment with the two men to buy weed.

She claimed not to know that the robbery or shooting was going to happen.

According to court documents, Dixon told police she only knew one of the men by a street name.

Anyone with information about the other two suspects can call the Jonesboro Police Department at (870) 935-6710.
