Police search for armed robbery suspects

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Police in Blytheville are searching for a couple of suspects involved in the robbery of a convenience store.

Criminal Investigation Division Commander Captain Scott Adams states officers responded Sunday to the Flash Market, 1305 E. Main, to a call about an aggravated robbery.

Officers arrived and talked with a store employee who said 2 black male suspects robbed the store at gunpoint.

One of the suspects stayed by the door with a handgun, while the other went around the counter where the employee was and pointed a shotgun at them.

The suspects ordered the employee to give them money. They also had them open a safe, Adams said.

Following the robbery, the suspects appeared to run south from behind the store.

After reviewing video, officers found the suspects had come from the Holiday Inn parking lot with the guns.

They are described as being between 5'10"-6' in height and weigh between 150 to 160 pounds.

One suspect was reportedly wearing a black zip-up hoodie, a "skull" mask over his face, a brown knit hat and sweat pants, carrying what appeared to be a shotgun.

The other was wearing a gray hoodie, a black ski mask, blue jeans, gloves and carrying what appeared to be a silver semi-automatic handgun, police said.
