BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Police are investigating after a Blytheville teen was shot over the weekend.
Officers responded to Great River Medical Center around 4 p.m. Saturday in reference to a teen with a gunshot wound.
A 16-year-old boy told police he was walking in the 700-block of Clark Street when he felt pain in his left leg.
The teen said he looked at his leg and noticed he had been shot above the knee.
He told officers he did not see anyone around at the time of the incident.
According to a news release from Captain Scott Adams, the evidence collected was not consistent with the story the teen told officers.
Adams did not state if there are any suspects in this case.
