SHARP COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Sharp County community members helped restock the food pantry shelves.
North Sharp County Ministerial Alliance held a food drive outside of Highland Town and Country on Highway 62.
The drive lasted from 8 a.m. until around 6 p.m. Saturday.
Residents donated about 3,000 pounds of food that filled an entire 6 foot by 12 foot trailer.
The alliance also collected $524. Some of the money was used to purchase food to fill the trailer, while the rest will be used to buy hygiene products.
Six churches throughout Sharp County make up the alliance.
Volunteers from all six churches came out Saturday to help collect the donations.
