A-State to host suicide prevention awareness program

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

The Counseling Center at Arkansas State University and the Dr. Robert E. Elliott Foundation for Suicide Prevention will host a program recognizing those who have lost friends and family to suicide.

Victoria Taylor will share “A Lifeline of Hope: Lessons Learned in Surviving Grief and Loss” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, in the Carl R. Reng Student Union Auditorium.

Taylor will describe her personal experiences following the death of her father, Anthony M. Taylor, by suicide in 2006.

A memorial and observance honoring the Survivors of Suicide (SOS) will follow Taylor’s presentation.

The event is free and open to the public.
