CLAY COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A traffic stop Monday landed two Clay County residents behind bars.
At 1:30 p.m. sheriff's deputies stopped Michael Meredith of Piggott and Ronnie Jones of Rector on South Garfield Street in Piggott.
During the stop, according to Sheriff Terry Miller, K9 officer Marko was deployed and deputies arrested Jones on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine.
Meredith was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant out of Rector District Court.
In an unrelated case, deputies arrested Shelley Reagan, 43, of Piggott for felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
His arrest followed a probation search Monday morning at a home on Circle Drive in Piggott, according to Sheriff Miller.
Reagan is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond at the Clay County Detention Center.
