JONESBORO, AR (A-STATE) – Arkansas State women's basketball coach Brian Boyer announced the signing of Jada Ford to a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday.
The 5-foot-8 forward from Muskogee, Okla., averaged 19.5 points and 3.4 rebounds per contest for Roughers. She has scored 20 or more points in 20 games and is on the verge of surpassing the 1,000-point plateau for her prep career.
"We are graduating a lot of scoring this year, so adding a guard that has the ability to score like Jada was a huge priority" Boyer said. "She combines very good speed, quickness and overall athletic ability with a great perimeter shot."
Ford scored a season-high 30 points with seven in her team's 67-38 victory that clinched the Frontier Valley title in 2014-15. She went on to average 18.6 points in Oklahoma's Tournament of Champions and was finalist for the Vype Oklahoma Miss Basketball award.
