JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Donna Harris, chief executive officer of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Jonesboro, recently received recognition for her contributions and experience in healthcare management.
The Arkansas Affiliate of American College of Healthcare Executives awarded Harris its Regents Award for Senior Level healthcare executive.
The award, according to a news release from St. Bernards Healthcare, goes to an ACHE Fellow who is "experienced in the field and has made significant contributions to the advancement of healthcare management excellence while helping to further the goals of ACHE."
Harris has started her career with HealthSouth as a human resources director after moving to Jonesboro from Methodist Health Systems in Memphis.
After serving on the administrative team for 10 years, she was promoted to CEO of the 67-bed rehabilitation hospital.
She serves on the board of directors for Matthews Medical Mile and is a member of the Rotary Club.
Harris and her husband, Thom, have two grown children.
