COLUMBIA, MO (KAIT) - In the midst of a rough season for the Missouri Tigers, they now will deal with losing their head coach.
According to a press release from the University of Missouri Athletics Department, Gary Pinkel will resign at the end of this season because health related issues. In a statement released by the school, Pinkel disclosed he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Lyphoma in May and made the decision after consulting with his family to retire from coaching.
Currently, Pinkel has racked up a 117-71 record at the school over the 15 seasons he's been there.
