Organization works to reach fundraiser goal

GREENE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

The Greene County Community Fund will raise money to fund 15 agencies for 2016.

The organization, which has been around for more than 50 years, uses the fall and winter months to raise funds for community agencies.

With only a few months left in the year, the charity is working hard to reach its goal of $260,000.

This year the group created a video to show donors how their money is being put to good use.

“We show it during our presentations so that potential donors can see how it does affect those agencies and how they utilize the money,” said Kera Crafton, executive director.

Crafton reminds people all the money put into their organization goes right back into the community.

“All of the money that we raise stays here and it has to go to Greene County organizations,” Crafton said. “So if you donate to the community fund your money stays right here in Greene County."

Money from Greene County Community Fund is the primary source of funding for many agencies in the county.
