FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Moses Kingsley had a career-high 22 points, 12 rebounds, five blocks and three steals to lead Arkansas to a season-opening 86-68 win over Southern on Friday night.
The junior, who played sparingly behind Southeastern Conference Player of the Year Bobby Portis a year ago, earned his second career double-double in 24 minutes of action while battling foul trouble. His previous scoring high was 12 points as a freshman two seasons ago.
Dusty Hannahs added 21 points and hit 5 of 7 3-pointers for the Razorbacks (1-0), while Anthlon Bell added 14 points as Arkansas improved to 5-0 in season openers under coach Mike Anderson.
Christopher Hyder led the Jaguars (0-1), who were 18-17 last season and 13-5 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference, with 22 points.
