BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) -

Police in Blytheville are investigating after officers reportedly found two men had been shot.

Captain Scott Adams, commander of the Blytheville Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division, said that on Friday, Nov. 13, the police department received a call of shots fired around Sycamore and Franklin St.

Adams also said the department got a call about a truck "traveling at a high rate of speed" around the same time headed north on Franklin.

Officers found the truck had struck a utility pole and another vehicle.

The man in the truck, Martin Wilson of Blytheville, was found to be suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, Adams said. He was airlifted to a Memphis hospital and is in stable condition.

A person inside the other vehicle involved in the crash was also transported for treatment.

Police were then called to another gunshot victim at a Blytheville hospital. Dennis Fowler of Jonesboro was found to be suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to a Memphis hospital by ambulance for further treatment.

There is currently no information on possible arrests.
