JONESBORO, AR (astateredwolves.com) – The Arkansas State women's basketball team rounded its class during the early signing period with the addition of Victoria "Tori" Sewell Monday afternoon.
Sewell prepped at Arlington High School in Millington, Tenn., where her team advanced to the Class AAA Tennessee state tournament for the first time in school history thanks in part to a historic year by Sewell.
"The best way to describe Tori is that she's just an all-around really good basketball player," A-State head coach Brian Boyer said. "She is a very good shooter but can be very explosive to the basket off the dribble as well. Tori possess toughness and a winners mentality any time she steps on the court."
The 6-foot guard averaged 13.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists during her junior season at Arlington. She is a three-time all-district selection and was selected as an all-regional player for the first time in her prep career during her junior season.
Sewell is the fourth signee for the Red Wolves during the early signing period, joining Madison Heckert, Jada Ford and Payton Tennison to this year's class.
