Christmas tree lighting ceremony to shine 'Lights of Love'

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The annual NEA Baptist Christmas Tree lighting ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, in the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital Lobby.

This year's event will include a new program called Lights of Love. Participants can purchase a luminary in honor or in memory of a loved one, co-worker or friend.

The names of those who had a luminary purchased in their honor or memory will be read aloud as the luminaries are lit.

Luminaries can be purchased online at www.neabaptistfoundation by Nov. 20 or from 4 until 5 p.m. before the tree lighting. A single luminary is $10, a luminary with commemorative pewter ornament costs $25. All proceeds benefit the NEA Baptist Charitable Foundation Marc Ford Patient Assistance Fund, which helps needy patients and their families who are dealing with a chronic disease.

Luminaries purchased the day of the event will not be printed in the program, but will be recognized at the event.

The tree light ceremony a ready of The Night Before Christmas, carol sing-along, holiday snacks and pictures by the Christmas tree.

The event is free and open to the public.
