NEW YORK (KAIT) - Former Arkansas Razorbacks and current Houston Astros pitcher Dallas Keuchel has won the American League Cy Young Award for the first time in his young career.
Keuchel won twenty games in 2015 going 20-8 with a 2.48 earned run average in 232.0 innings pitched. He was second to only NL Cy Young winner Jake Arrieta in wins. He also led the Astros back to the postseason where they fell in the ALDS.
Keuchel played baseball at Arkansas and is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He received 92 votes to receive the award, a commanding victory for the young left-hander.
