JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Once again a Brookland man has been cited with indecent exposure on the A-State campus.
Around 2:20 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, an Arkansas State University police officer was called to the Dean B. Ellis Library, 322 University Loop, regarding a white male on the fifth floor exposing himself.
The 21-year-old victim said it was "not the first time" she had seen the suspect and pointed him out to the officer.
The man, later identified as 36-year-old Alexander L. Carson of Brookland, denied the allegations.
When asked if he was a student, Carson reportedly said no and they he was just at the library "killing time."
Carson told the officer he had been to the library "several times in the past."
The officer reported Carson "appeared nervous and kept asking if it was going to take long as he needed to go pick up his child from school."
When asked if he had been arrested before, Carson reportedly told the officer "once about eight years ago for urination."
However, police records reveal UPD arrested Carson in 2011 for the indecent exposure.
At the time, a witness reported seeing Carson get out of his parked truck when a woman walked by with his pants down. The witness said Carson was "showing his penis and appeared to be masturbating."
When officers arrested Carson they found no wallet or ID in his pockets, just "used tissues." They also reported finding a bottle of lotion in the front seat of his truck.
During an interview with a UPD investigator Carson, who was not an A-State student at that time either, said he was "wasting time" and reportedly admitted to "scratching" himself for pleasure. He told the detective he "frequently does this while driving."
Then, as now, UPD cited Carson with indecent exposure and issued a PNG banning him from the A-State campus.
