JPD: Couple stole truck during test drive

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A couple who took a pickup truck for a test drive is now wanted by Jonesboro police.

An employee at Bobby Hinton Auto Sales, 1003 S. Gee, told police a white man, aged 40 to 55 years old, came to the dealership around 2:26 p.m. Thursday to test drive a truck.

After getting the keys to a 2004 Chevy Silverado, the man reportedly walked back to his vehicle—a blue GMC Yukon—several times before driving off.

The employee said a woman who was with the suspect then drove off with the Chevy.

The officer issued a BOLO (Be on the Lookout) for the Chevy.

According to the incident report, Crittenden County deputies found the vehicle in their county around 6 p.m. They said the tires and the radio had been stolen from the truck.

The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division for review.
