JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A trailer was stolen from the new Hays Clothing Store in Jonesboro before it even officially opened.

According to a Jonesboro police report, the Hays owner told police the trailer had been at the store during construction and was taken Friday night.

Surveillance video shows a white Chevrolet or GMC backing up to the trailer at 10:26 p.m. Friday and hauling it away.

The police report states a white man was driving the truck and another white man who was wearing a mask got out and hooked the trailer up to the truck.

The owner told officers that the trailer had been on site of the construction for “some time” and many contractors and employees had been around the trailer and knew what was inside.

Jonesboro police did not list a suspect in their report.

Hays posted on their Facebook page Saturday that they are offering a reward for any information leading to the arrest of the suspects.

If you have any information you are urged to contact the Jonesboro Police Department or Crimestoppers at 935-STOP.
